For the past few decades Curt Hendrix has been studying the chemistry of why diseases and health conditions occur, progress, reverse or never occur at all. He has coupled this research with a vast knowledge of naturally occurring compounds that demonstrate therapeutic benefits for preventing or treating many diseases and conditions, as well as some that may protect health well into old age.
Curt graduated with honors in chemistry from the City University of New York. He then spent two years in a chemistry PhD. Program at the City University of New York. Realizing that knowledge of chemistry, though very important, was not enough to pursue research regarding natural medicines and nutrition, he left early and went on to get a Masters degree in human nutrition from the University of Bridgeport and then followed up with getting certified by two different nutrition boards as a Certified Clinical Nutritionist (C.C.N.) and a Certified Nutrition Specialist (C.N.S.)
Curt has been granted numerous scientific patents as a result of the research he has done. These patents or patents pending are in the areas of migraine prevention, Alzheimer’s disease, endometriosis and hypercholesterolemia. He has twice been appointed by the National Center for Complimentary and Alternative Medicine of the National Institutes of Health, as the principal investigator in two government grants studying the effects of a natural medicine cocktail, he created, for treating Alzheimer’s disease.
The first grant demonstrated that the cocktail was able to prevent the cognitive decline associated with Alzheimer’s disease in a mouse model that otherwise 100% of the time, deteriorated quickly and significantly. The results of this research are awaiting publication in a well-known, peer-reviewed scientific journal.
The second grant, which is in progress, is studying whether or not the cocktail can reverse, halt or slow down the Alzheimer’s Disease once it has occurred.
Curt is the Chief Scientific Officer of Akeso Health Sciences, a company dedicated to creating highly researched, condition specific natural medicines and supplements for health conscious consumers.
